Pre-Appointment Preparation

For the best results, please read through and follow the pre-appointment preparation advice listed below.

Lip Smacking Red Mouth

Lip tattoo preparation

If you suffer from cold sores, you will need to prepare & potentially take a preventative medication prior to your appointment.

Even if you have only ever had one or two outbreaks in your life, any trauma to the lip can bring on a cold sore and preventative action is very important.

While our preferred preventative is the over the counter anti-viral, each person is different and what works for you is best. If you're unsure, please speak to your health practitioner or pharmacist.

Examples:

Lysine, Vitamin C, over the counter anti-viral such a fam-vir.

We cannot tattoo really dry, chapped, sunburnt or peeling skin.

Stop taking any non-prescription blood thinners, including fish oil.

Stop taking any anti-histamines.

Organise numbing cream.

Get together your favourite lip colours, reference pictures or ideas on what your lip goals are.
