  • How do I prepare for my appointment?
    ▫️ Get a good nights sleep the night before. ▫️ Eat a meal prior to your appointment, bring a drink with you. ▫️ Don't consume any alcohol 24hrs prior to your appointment. ▫️ If you wear contact lenses, remove them prior to your appointment and bring your glasses (eyeliner appointments only). ▫️ If you have any photos or ideas, please bring them along, your input is encouraged.
  • Where are you located?
    We are located inside Meeka House; Unit 7 101 Bussell Highway, Margaret River. Client parking is best accessed from the rear of the building on Ned Higgins Lane.
  • Do you sell gift vouchers?
    We sure do! All gift vouchers are digital and are available for purchase online here: www.taupestudio.com/gift-card Gift vouchers are emailed to either you or the lucky recipient once purchase is complete. You can purchase any denomination and there is no expiry date. Please let us know if you have any questions or need a hand purchasing your gift voucher.
  • What are your business hours?
    Our business hours are: Tuesday - Saturday 9.30am - 5.30pm If you have contacted us outside of these hours, we are not far away, but there may be a slight delay in response. Please bare with us, your patience is appreciated.
  • I would like to book an appointment
    How exciting! All cosmetic & paramedical tattoo appointments are available online, you can process your booking by selecting the book online tab or by clicking this link: www.taupestudio.com/book-online. All consultations are included at the beginning of your appointment. Body tattoo appointments cannot be booked online, please use the contact section on this page to send through a request.
  • Do you draw them on first?
    Yes! No design is tattooed without your consent. Your input is encouraged throughout the whole process.
  • Does it hurt?
    Local anaesthetic is used on the treatment area prior to tattooing. This minimises the pain and most clients feel quite comfortable throughout the appointment. Due to current regulations; the numbing cream needs to be purchased by the client. Further information regarding anesthetics is available on booking.
  • Am I a suitable candidate?
    For the most part, yes! Our tattooing techniques make it suitable for most clients. Clients who fall into the following categories are unfortunately not suitable candidates: ▫️Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. ▫️Anyone under the age of 18. ▫️Anyone who has recently completed a course of chemotherapy or radiation - please consult your medical professional to ensure you are ready. Minimum wait 6 months post treatment.
  • Will my hair be removed?
    No, thankfully! The idea of cosmetic tattooing is to work with the body including the hair to get the most natural looking tattoo possible. Stray hairs outside of the area may be removed so there is no maintenance during your healing process.
  • How long does it take?
    On average, most appointments are 2 hours.
  • How long does it last?
    It varies per person. Most clients will opt for a colour boost around 18-24 months, some longer. We offer colours boosts to keep your tattoo looking fresh.
  • Do I need a consultation?
    Consultations are included at the beginning of all tattoo appointments - we need to know what you would like, we discuss all of your options and tailor a tattoo design just for you! There is no need to come in prior to your appointment unless you want to do a meet and greet which we're always super happy to do, just let us know. Please let us know if you have any further questions 🖤
  • I need to reschedule my appointment
    All appointment amendments are available by logging in to your members section from this website - this is where both your current and past appointment details are. You can do this easily by creating your own account within Taupe Studio using the email address you booked with - it takes under a minute! Once open, you can reschedule your appointment to a day and time that suits you.
