Cosmetic & Medical Tattoo Terms & Conditions
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings. This deposit secures your appointment and allocates time with your tattooist. The amount paid is then taken off of the total balance due at the time of your appointment.
The amount of deposit required is directly related to the value of the service to be provided or the time allocated for said service.
All booking deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable.
Booking deposits are valid for 12 months from the date of receipt, unless used or forfeited prior.
In the event of a state of emergency being declared, all deposits will be held by Taupe Studio until business operations resume.
Cancellations, Non-attendance or rescheduling of appointments
As deposits are non-refundable, if you cancel your appointment after paying a deposit, your deposit will be forfeited.
5 full working days notice is required to reschedule an appointment, failure to give this notice will result in loss of deposit to cover administrative & studio costs.
A new deposit will need to be paid to re-book an appointment.
Appointment rescheduling is available to all clients 24/7 online by logging in to your members section from Taupe Studios website using the email address you booked with.
Appointments that need to be rescheduled aren’t rescheduled until a new date and time is booked.
Where an appointment needs to be rescheduled due to an unavoidable emergency and a future date has not been set, deposits are valid for 12 months from the date of receipt, unless used or forfeited prior.
​Full service fees will be charged for non-attendance or no-shows.

Illness
Your health and safety is important to us. Your body's immune system plays a crucial role in healing your tattoo. If you're unwell, your immune system is already working hard to protect you, which can potentially interfere with the healing process of your tattoo. If you're feeling unwell or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, you will need to reschedule your appointment to a time when you are well again.

Rescheduling Due to Illness: If you need to reschedule, we require a minimum of 5 business days’ notice, in line with Taupe Studios’ terms and conditions, to ensure your deposit remains secure.

Unexpected Illness: In the event that you are unable to provide the required notice, we kindly ask for documentation confirming your condition. Upon receiving this, we’ll be happy to reschedule your appointment without any loss of deposit.

Deposit Policy: If we don’t receive the necessary information within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, unfortunately, your deposit will be forfeited.

Refunds
Refunds are not permitted.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers do not expire.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, nor will cash be given in exchange for unused balances.
We currently have two types of gift vouchers available to purchase:
1. Electronic Gift Vouchers are purchased online; these are securely stored in our system and do not need to be presented at your appointment.
2. Physical Gift Vouchers can only be purchased in-store; these must be brought into the studio for redemption.
Physical Gift Vouchers are unable to validated if lost or misplaced. Digital copies, including photos, will not be accepted.

All cancellation & rescheduling policies apply to gift voucher paid appointments.
Running late
If you are running late, we ask that you inform the studio ASAP.
While we try our best to accommodate all situations, if you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment as to not compromise the following appointments.
Being over 15 minutes late will result in loss of deposit.
Suitable candidate
You must be 18 years of age or older.
If you are underage and book an appointment hoping we won’t check your ID, you will forfeit your deposit.
In the best interest of you and your child, we do not tattoo breastfeeding or pregnant women.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good health prior to your appointment. If in doubt, please contact your health care professional.
Payments
All outstanding balances are due at the time of your appointment, no studio credits will be given.
We do have afterpay available in store for you to use. We also have cash and eftpos facilities - if you are paying in cash, please bring the correct amount as we keep limited change on hand.
Receipts are available for all purchases, these can be sent electronically at the time of payment.
Support
While we try our best to ensure a fun & comfortable environment for everyone at Taupe Studio, we do have limited space available for spectators. When we can accommodate visitors, we are happy to do so, but please be mindful that there is room for a maximum of 2 additional people.
If you would like to bring a support person to your appointment but are unsure, please contact us prior to your appointment so arrangements can made.
